Organizations that deliver humanitarian aid and community support through aviation will return to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in 2026. The Public Benefit Flying area will once again be part of the 73rd annual Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in. The event is scheduled for July 20–26 at Wittman Regional Airport. Aircraft and crews representing groups involved in disaster relief, medical transport, animal rescue, and other humanitarian missions will be on display near Boeing Plaza, at the center of the AirVenture grounds.

Participating organizations will also be part of daily presentations highlighting how aviation is used to respond to emergencies around the world. A dedicated pavilion will give pilots an opportunity to learn about volunteer flying programs and register with organizations seeking assistance. “In 2025, more than 1,500 pilots registered at Oshkosh to become part of public benefit flying, whether that is bringing relief supplies to disaster-stricken areas, flying cancer patients to their appointments, or even moving rescue animals across the country,” said Rick Larsen, EAA’s vice president of communities and member programs, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions. “This groundswell showed the great spirit of the general aviation community to be there when needed in any possible way benefit those in need.” Click HERE to get your tickets to the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026.

The Air Care Alliance will once again coordinate the participating organizations at Oshkosh. The group represents more than 50 aviation-based nonprofits that focus on service and outreach through flying. Pilots attending AirVenture will be able to explore volunteer opportunities available across the country, while non-pilots are also encouraged to visit and learn how aviation supports communities and uses local airports to deliver public benefit.
