Five vintage military aircraft from Commemorative Air Force Airbase Georgia will make the cross-country journey from Peachtree City, Georgia, to Wisconsin for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, scheduled for July 20–26. During the event, the airbase will offer public rides in four of the aircraft at Fond du Lac County Airport, approximately 20 miles south of the AirVenture grounds. Flights will be available July 21–25 and may be reserved in advance through the CAF Airbase Georgia website. The participating aircraft include the airbase’s P-51 Mustang Red Nose, Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless dive bomber, North American LT-6 Mosquito, and Beechcraft T-34 Mentor. All four will be available for ride flights at Fond du Lac. The organization will also send its rare Bell P-63 Kingcobra for public display at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

“EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is a highlight of our flying season,” said Airbase Leader Mark Richards. “We join with thousands of aviation enthusiasts to celebrate our restored warbirds and offer rides that give people an experience of a lifetime.” Based in Peachtree City, CAF Airbase Georgia was founded in 1987 and is one of the largest units of the Commemorative Air Force.
