Held among the Minnesota Wing’s collection of historic WWII aircraft, the event mixes live music, dance lessons, aircraft displays, and period-themed activities inside one of the wing’s hangars at Fleming Field. “We can’t wait to bring the community together in our museum for an unforgettable night of music, dancing, and living history this June,” said Amy Lauria, Wing Leader of the CAF MN Wing. “Whether you enjoy dancing, aircraft, or have a passion for history, this event is family-friendly and suitable for everyone.”

Music for the evening will be provided by the Roseville Big Band, which is scheduled to perform swing-era music from 8 p.m. until midnight. Before the band takes the stage, beginners can take part in a free swing dance lesson hosted by TC Swing beginning at 7 p.m. The evening will also include a performance from Rhythm & Swing, a local Lindy Hop group that regularly performs throughout the Twin Cities area. Attendees are encouraged to dress in period clothing, with prizes planned for military and civilian outfits inspired by the 1940s. Visitors will also have access to historic aircraft displays and photo opportunities, including views of the Minnesota Wing’s B-25 Mitchell Miss Mitchell.
