The American Airpower Museum,in Farmingdale, NY, will host its annual Halloween celebration, “Fright Takes Flight,” transforming its historic Hangar 3 into a haunted hangar filled with spooky sights, eerie sounds, and World War II warbirds set against a chilling backdrop. The family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, NY. Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a safe, weatherproof Halloween experience inside the museum’s decorated hangar, which will feature costumed volunteers handing out treats to children as they trick-or-treat from exhibit to exhibit. The hangar will be transformed with fog effects, cobwebs, flying bats, and plenty of surprises to create a festive, immersive atmosphere.

Highlights of the event include a guided tour of the museum’s Haunted Bomber and a daring walk through the Maze of Terror. Families can also enjoy a ride aboard the Travesty Tram around Hangar 3 and capture memorable photos with the museum’s “Ghost Fighter” aircraft. Children ages 12 and under are encouraged to participate in the Costume Contest, with a prize awarded for the best costume. Adults are welcome to join the fun in their own creative attire, adding to the lively and spirited ambiance. Music, including Halloween classics such as John Zacherley’s “Monster Mash,” will set the tone for a day filled with fun and fright. Admission to the Haunted Hangar Halloween Party is $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and veterans, and $12 for children ages 3–12. Children under 3 years old are admitted free of charge. Admission is also free for American Airpower Museum members and active-duty military, National Guard, and reserve personnel with valid ID.
