The Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA, is planning a June 11 screening of Sally, a documentary about astronaut Sally Ride. Before the film begins, the museum will hold a beer and wine social hour starting at 6 p.m., with the screening scheduled for 7 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be sold separately during the event. The film, directed by Cristina Costantini, looks at Ride’s life both inside and outside the public spotlight. Along with covering her achievements in spaceflight, the documentary also includes the perspective of Tam O’Shaughnessy, Ride’s partner of 26 years, and touches on parts of her personal life that remained largely private for decades.

Sally received the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered earlier this year. Reviewing the film, RogerEbert.com wrote that “Ride loved deeply but quietly throughout a life shaped as much by what she revealed as by what she felt obligated to hide,” adding that director Costantini “delivers a doc that speaks to the heart and goals of someone who redefined what it means to break barriers.” The museum said tickets for the screening will follow a sliding-scale “pay what you can” format ranging from $5 to $100.
